Writing as a hybrid author is interesting.
As an indie author you can write and release whenever you want. But when working
with a publisher there is a schedule to write for. Submission dates to strive for. Edits
to review and respond to by a certain date. But signing a contract for a book is just so
exciting. Reading over the contract, signing it, and getting a copy of the official to add
to my files. It is a special feeling. It is similar to getting that one gift you’ve had your
heart set on but didn’t expect to get. And then a final gift is pulled out from wherever
it was hidden. You open it and there it is. Better than you had imagined and in your
hands.
I just got another such gift-my third contract with Beyond the Bookery. I have to submit
my as yet untitled work in October 2027. Then it will be released sometime in 2028. I can’t
say much about it, but I’m so excited to get started on this story. But I have seven stories that
will be releasing before this one.
So, stay tuned for more on ToL 2028.
